Job Description

The Physical Therapist plans, administers, and coordinates physical therapy treatments to patients of various age groups in order to maximize their potential physical functioning under the direction of a physician.  Contributes to the development of physical therapy policies, setting of standards, and revision of procedures as needed.   Works closely with family members to assure achievement of goals and continuity of care.  Provides documentation of patient evaluations, progress, reassessments and modification of goals and treatments as needed. This position is under the direction of the Therapy Services Director and supervises Physical Therapy Assistants.


Qualifications

Education:
 Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
 
Experience:
Preferred 1 to 2 years of staff PT experience.  Desirable skills include proficiency in written and verbal communication, proficiency with computerized documentation, and the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public. 
Licenses/Certificates:
Licensed or eligible for license in the State of New Mexico. 
Current CPR certificate.
