Job Description

A clinically competent, registered, professional ultrasound technologist who delivers care to the patient through utilization of sonographer knowledge while perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures as prescribed by physicians under the direction of a clinician. Provides quality patient care in accordance with MVRMC policies and procedures and established patient care standards and practice.



Knowledge of Anatomy, usually obtained by being a graduate of the Committee of Allied Health and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent.


Desirable characteristics include at least one (1) year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or outpatient setting. Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.


Required: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent.

Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
