Job Description

The Front Office Receptionist provides support for the Area Practice Manager, performing standard duties:
  • Handles matters of a routine nature to conserve supervisor’s time
  • Responsible for completing projects in a timely and efficient manner at supervisor’s request
  • Handles issues that may be extremely sensitive and confidential
  • Facilitates continuous improvements of processes to enhance organizational efficiencies, improved patient services and quality of work for employees and providers
  • Coordinates with Area Practice Manager to maximize production/efficiency from medical assistants and receptionists
  • Coordinates responsibilities in accordance with office policies


Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Associate or Bachelors degree preferred
Preferred: Prior 2 years experience in physician office setting
Preferred: Prior experience in a medical office billing and collections
Required: Demonstrates effective organizational and time-management skills
Required: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Required: Ability to handle patient issues, concerns in a timely manner, problem-solve and multi-task
Required: Demonstrate effective leadership skills and ability to motivate employees
Required: Ability to accurately interpret EOB for practice and patients
