Job Description

This position assists in providing care to patients in Cardiac Rehabilitation under the supervision of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse and  Outpatient Director.  Participates and cooperates in the unit based Quality Improvement processes.  Supports and maintains an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel. Practices, develops, and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers. Assists in planning and implementation of patient care and teaching based on total assessment of patient. Assists in monitoring patients; recognizes and reports changes in physiological and psychosocial status. Serves as a patient and family advocate with respect to patient rights to privacy by protecting confidential information. Other duties as assigned.


Required: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Successful completion of  Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology Program
Preferred:  Two years of experience in cardiac rehabilitation
Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support)  - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after one (1) full month of work.
Required: Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)  - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after three (3) full months of work.
