Monitor patients' comfort, blood pressure and heart rate during tests. Prepare reports of diagnostic procedures for interpretation by physician. Conduct and analyze complex electroencephalography (EEG) neurodiagnostic tests. Adjust equipment and controls according to physicians' orders or established protocol. Obtain and record patient identification, medical history and test results. Provides patient care in accordance with MVRMC policies and procedures. Expected to provide a positive image of MVRMC and to be able to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians and visitors.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree preferred.
One year experience in doctor’s office/hospital environment preferred.
Knowledge of general anatomy and physiology highly preferred.
Medical terminology and general computer skills preferred.
Strong organizational skills and hand/eye coordination/dexterity required.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and decision making skills.
Registered EEG Technician required. If not registered, ability to become registered within one year.
