Job Description

To provide support for the hospital Administration office, performing standard and advanced secretarial duties. Assist with the administration of a complex office. Coordinate communication independently based on knowledge of policies and procedures, or from verbal direction. Interface with staff and the public and assist in their association with the medical staff, department directors, and employees. Handles matters of a routine nature to conserve supervisor’s time. Responsible for completing projects in a timely and efficient manner at supervisor’s request. Handle issues that may be extremely sensitive and confidential in nature. Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Education:

Required: Degree in secretarial science or related business fields: may substitute a combination of training and experience for education.

Required: At least 5 years of progressively responsible, complex secretarial/database experience or college level class work in business administration or related fields; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred: Experience in healthcare and database maintenance.
