Job Description

Under supervision, washes pots and dishes, manually or by machine, removes trash to compactor, delivers and cleans items to proper areas for storage, sweeps and mops floors, does assigned cleaning. Assemble patient trays, deliver carts, and return carts to kitchen after meals. Assists with food production and special functions.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Wash pots and dishes manually or with machine
  • Removes trash from kitchen and cafeteria areas to trash compactor
  • Delivers clean items to proper areas for storage
  • Sweeps and mops floor with soap and hot water including under tables and refrigerators/freezers
  • Does assigned cleaning daily
  • Helps assemble and deliver patient trays
  • Delivers carts and trays to the units
  • Returns carts and trays to the units
  • Assists with food production
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education:

Preferred:  High School degree or equivalent
Experience:
Preferred: Previous experience in institutional or restaurant food service with training in the dishwashing, and in principles of sanitation and safety
