Job Description

Data entry in electronic medical record for all patients. Acts as a liaisonbetween the hospital, patient’s and/or patient’s family, insurance companiesand physician’s offices. Follow up with theassigned insurance’s regarding the account from initial billing, rebilling andcorrecting as required, to insurance payment. Reviews accountsfor patient responsibility, contractual and/or discount arrangements. Also,responsible for review and correction of remittance advises, explanation ofbenefit from insurance companies or any other correspondence assigned. 



Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Associate or Bachelors degree preferred


Preferred: Prior 2 years experience in physician office setting

Preferred: Prior experience in a medical office billing and collections

Required: Demonstrates effective organizational and time-management skills

Required: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

Required: Ability to handle patient issues, concerns in a timely manner, problem-solve and multi-task

Required: Demonstrate effective leadership skills and ability to motivate employees

Required: Ability to accurately interpret EOB for practice and patients
