CBO-04 Physician Practices Administrator - FT
To date, MountainView Medical Group employs more than 70 providers in 33 locations throughout Southern New Mexico. Physicians represent a broad range of specialties, including primary care, OB/GYN, pulmonology, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery, bariatric surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery and cardiology, among others. Always expanding, MountainView Medical Group has an aggressive growth plan, providing our community with additional access to care through both recruitment and acquisition.
The physician practices group has grown significantly in the last several years going from 10 employed physicians to 40 as of this writing. The hiring of new physicians results in the hospital offering new service lines and becoming an increased and preferred provider in the community.
The ideal candidate will be required to provide superior leadership to the 250 employees in the physician practices group. Additionally, they must be able to manage complex projects from inception to completion and most importantly, they must be able to build relationships with a variety of personnel, especially physicians.
Attention to detail, and patient deliberation in developing, implementing, managing and following through complex projects to completion are essential attributes for success in this position. This is a high profile position and is represented on the hospital’s Senior Management Team.
Familiarity with reimbursement schedules and associated federal and New Mexico state laws and regulations is also needed.
Superior communications skills are required. So too is the proven ability to build and develop productive business relationships with the hospital’s numerous constituencies, in particular our business partners, consultants and the physicians themselves.and the physicians themselves.
The successful candidate will also be involved in recruiting new physicians and will take part in negotiating physician employment agreements.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s Degree is always preferred. The ideal candidate must have experience in managing multiple physician practices. Experience working in an acute care environment is a plus.
